Call for papers
Following the long line of Scandinavian Conferences on Image Analysis the 17th in the series is to take place in Ystad, Sweden on May 23-27, 2011.

Paper submission
All submissions will be handled electronically. Submission instructions can be found here. All submissions will be reviewed by at least two anonymous reviewers and by one program chair. It is not required that the submissions are anonymous, but it is possible to submit anonymously if that option is preferred. Papers will be accepted for oral or for poster presentation. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, which in turn will appear as a volume in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. Accepted papers are limited to 10 pages, with a possibility to buy two extra pages. Submissitted paper may contain up to 12 pages. Authors are to follow these paper formatting guidelines.

Submission of full paper: December 15, 2010
Notification of acceptance: February 15, 2011
Camera-ready paper: March 15, 2011
Registration for paper presenters: March 15, 2011
Tutorials and workshops
In addition to scientific program tutorials, workshops and industrial exhibitions will be arranged. Monday May 23 is tutorial day.
The workshop Imaging Food Quality will be organized in collaboration with SCIA 2011 on Friday May 27.
